Is it still possible to downgrade after updating to iOS 5? Yes, despite all the rumors you’ve read.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Remove iTunes 10.5 beta and reinstall iTunes 10.3.1.
2. Download iOS 4.3.3 firmware for your device (IPSW).
3. Put your device into DFU or recovery.
4. Launch iTunes and and click Shift + Restore (Windows) or Command + Restore (Mac)
Note: If you’ve updated to iOS 5, you probably have updated your baseband. So it’s pointless to create a custom firmware if you’re an ultrasn0w unlocker.
